President Trump has named Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry the U.S. special envoy to Greenland. Denmark isn't happy about it.

President Donald Trump reasserted on Monday that the United States needs Greenland for its national security and said a special envoy he appointed to the Arctic island would "lead the charge."

The president said Greenland is important for national security reasons, and called Landry a “dealmaker-type guy.”
