For the first time this cool/wet season we’ve got some serious weather to talk about. No, no sign of snow, cold, or a windstorm. Instead, too much “warm” rain in just three days (plus some breezy/gusty wind at times).
The so-called atmospheric river will hit the San Francisco Bay area first, possibly dropping a month’s worth of rain in a few days, weather forecasters say. The system will then sink into Southern California, edging into North County late Tuesday night then hitting hard through Christmas Eve and into Christmas Day.
"The early storm will not be as strong as the event we saw early last week, though it will impact the same areas," a meteorologist told Newsweek.
The latest storm in the pineapple express will focus on Oregon into Friday evening. Some streams and rivers will quickly surge to major flood levels, posing risks to lives and property.
