The stitching on this 1902 waist cincher is not perfect. Does that mean it’s bad? NO! Too often I see beginners sewists give up because their stitching isn’t “perfect”. Here is a close-up of a corset from @historycolorado to show that Victorian seamstresses weren’t perfect, either. It’s not about being perfect, it’s about growing as you learn your craft.
